Black Hole
Where gravity bends light and space
π‘ Past a black hole's event horizon, not even light can escape!

The event horizon is a boundary around a black hole. Once something passes inside it, escaping would require moving faster than light.
Did you know?
- Go deeper: A black hole is not a cosmic vacuum cleaner. From far enough away, its gravity acts like the gravity of any other object with the same mass.
- Advanced: Astronomers find black holes by watching their effects: nearby matter can glow in a hot disk, stars can orbit unseen mass, and gravity can bend background light.
