FactNuggets is an educational app designed for children. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the FactNuggets Android app or visit factnuggets.com. For privacy questions or requests, email info@factnuggets.com.
1. Children’s privacy
Children can use the core learning experience without creating an account or providing personal information. FactNuggets does not ask children for names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, photographs, videos, contacts, precise location, microphone recordings, messages, chat content, or payment information.
The current Android release does not include advertising, public profiles, chat, social messaging, communication between users, behavioural advertising, cross-app tracking, marketing profiles, or behavioural profiles. FactNuggets does not sell or rent children’s personal information.
2. Local learning progress
FactNuggets stores learning packs viewed or completed, discovery progress, saved learning content, preferences, and other app state needed for the learning experience locally on the device. This information is not transmitted to FactNuggets servers for account creation, analytics, advertising, or behavioural profiling.
Deleting FactNuggets, clearing its storage through Android settings, or resetting the device may permanently remove locally stored learning progress.
3. Analytics and tracking
The current Android release does not use behavioural analytics for the child learning experience. We do not use children’s learning activity to create advertising or marketing profiles.
4. Support communications
Parents, guardians, and other adults may voluntarily contact us at info@factnuggets.com. We may receive information they choose to provide, such as an email address, name, message, and information reasonably necessary to respond. We use it only to provide support, answer privacy questions, resolve technical issues, respond to legal or security concerns, and maintain necessary records. Please do not send unnecessary personal information about a child.
5. Website information
Hosting and infrastructure providers may process limited technical information necessary to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, browser and device information, request date and time, requested pages, and server or security logs. This information is used for website operation, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We do not use the website to build behavioural advertising profiles of children.
6. Purchases
The current Android release does not require a purchase to access its included learning experience and does not process payment information.
7. Service providers and sharing
FactNuggets relies on limited service providers for website hosting, email and support, infrastructure and security, and Android distribution through Google Play. They may process information only as necessary to provide their services and under their own legal and privacy obligations. Google independently processes information when users access Google Play or download or update an app under Google’s own privacy policies.
We do not share children’s personal information for advertising or marketing. Information provided directly by an adult through support may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary to service providers acting on our behalf, protect the security or integrity of FactNuggets, investigate fraud or misuse, comply with law or legal process, or complete a lawful business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections.
8. Retention and deletion
Local learning progress remains on the device until removed through Android’s application-storage controls, uninstalling the app, resetting the device, or other device-management actions. Support communications and related records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, provide support, maintain security, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. Website and security logs may be retained for limited periods for operation, troubleshooting, security, and legal compliance.
Parents or guardians who contacted us directly may request deletion of personal information in their support communications by emailing info@factnuggets.com with enough information to identify the relevant communication. We may retain limited information where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal claims.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. Keeping learning progress on-device substantially limits the information transmitted or stored by FactNuggets. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure; parents and guardians should use appropriate device security measures.

We may update this policy when FactNuggets or applicable legal requirements change. The latest version is available at factnuggets.com/privacy; the effective date above indicates when it was last updated.
