These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the FactNuggets application, website, learning content, and related services. By downloading, installing, accessing, or allowing a child to use FactNuggets, the parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult agrees to these Terms where required by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use FactNuggets.
1. About FactNuggets
FactNuggets is an educational app that helps curious children explore age-appropriate subjects through illustrated facts, learning packs, discoveries, and progress-based activities. It is intended primarily for children and should be used with appropriate parent or guardian supervision.
2. Parents and guardians
Parents, guardians, and responsible adults are responsible for deciding whether FactNuggets is appropriate for a child, supervising device use where appropriate, managing the device and Google Play account, and controlling access to parent-facing or restricted areas. The grown-up check helps separate children from these areas but does not replace device-level parental controls or adult supervision.
3. Permission to use FactNuggets
Subject to these Terms, FactNuggets grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal and non-commercial educational purposes. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, rent, or commercially redistribute the app except where law permits; reverse engineer it except where restrictions are prohibited by law; circumvent security or parent-gating; interfere with operation or security; violate law or others’ rights; or falsely represent an affiliation with FactNuggets.
4. Educational content
FactNuggets provides educational and informational content. We aim to make it accurate, age-appropriate, and useful, but information can change, sources may disagree, and errors may occur. We do not guarantee that every fact, illustration, narration, description, or other content item is complete, current, or error-free. Consult appropriate primary or authoritative sources where accuracy is particularly important.
5. Not professional advice
FactNuggets is an educational product. Its content is not medical, health, legal, financial, psychological, safety, or other professional advice. Seek an appropriately qualified professional when professional advice is needed.
6. Child safety and communication
The current learning experience does not provide public profiles, child-to-child chat, random messaging, or public user-generated content. Users must not use FactNuggets or support channels to transmit unlawful, harmful, abusive, or inappropriate material.
7. Privacy and local progress
Your use of FactNuggets is also subject to the Privacy Policy. The current Android version stores learning progress locally on the user’s device. Deleting the app, clearing application storage, resetting or losing a device, or certain software changes may permanently remove locally stored progress. FactNuggets is not responsible for recovering progress that has been deleted or lost.
8. Purchases and Google Play
The current Android release provides its included learning experience without requiring an in-app purchase. If FactNuggets is downloaded through Google Play, use of Google Play is governed by Google’s applicable terms. Google Play may separately provide installation, updates, payment processing, refunds, and other platform services.
9. Third-party sources and links
FactNuggets content may identify or reference external sources, organisations, publications, or websites. References do not mean FactNuggets controls or endorses every statement, product, service, or policy of those third parties. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Parents and guardians should supervise children accessing content outside the app.
10. Intellectual property
FactNuggets and its original app design, branding, software, illustrations, arrangement of content, written material, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, trademarks, materials, and referenced sources remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms do not transfer ownership of FactNuggets intellectual property to you.
11. Feedback, updates, and availability
Parents and users may voluntarily send suggestions, corrections, or feedback. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, you allow FactNuggets to use general ideas and suggestions to improve the service without compensation. We may add, remove, or change learning content; fix errors; change technical requirements; or release updated versions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or that every feature will remain available indefinitely.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FactNuggets is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not make warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded, including guarantees of continuous availability, complete or error-free content, compatibility with every device, or any particular educational outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FactNuggets is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Suspension, governing law, and changes
We may restrict or discontinue access where reasonably necessary to protect users, protect service security or integrity, comply with legal requirements, address misuse, or discontinue the service. You may stop using FactNuggets at any time by uninstalling the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, except where applicable consumer-protection laws require otherwise. We may update these Terms when FactNuggets or legal requirements change. The latest version is available at factnuggets.com/terms.
